CASE / CSA ED CLUSTER PRESENT: STUDENT PUBLISHING PROGRAM
Are you a graduate student studying the sociology of education? Do you have a paper idea or a project that you would like to turn into a publication? Join the Student Publishing Program this summer! We are hosting a series of workshops over the summer covering the topics of ethics/authorship, finding a venue for writing, and pre-writing strategies. Following these workshops, we will be hosting a virtual writing retreat in fall 2023.
Workshop 1: Can I Write This? Ethics & Authorship
Come with your paper idea and questions about ethics, authorship conventions, and data accessibility/permissions related to academic writing. Dr. Jeannie Kerr (Simon Fraser University and Canadian Journal of Education Co-Editor) will be our guest speaker for this workshop.
Wednesday, August 2 from 2-3pm ET, 11am-12pm PT
Workshop 2: Choosing a Venue
Come with an idea of who you would like your paper to reach and ask questions about what types of publications can be options for student sociology of education researchers. Canadian Journal of Education Co-Editors Dr. Ee-Seul Yoon (University of Manitoba) and Dr. Jeannie Kerr (Simon Fraser University) will be our guest speakers.
Monday, August 28 from 2-3pm ET, 11am-12pm PT
